Fire Prevention Week Kicks-Off With the Annual Static Display at Harlow Park

Marquette, MIOctober 6th, 2018 – It was once again time for the annual Static Display of firetrucks and fire equipment from around Marquette County to help start Fire Prevention Week this past Saturday. Residents from all around the county stopped by to check out the incredible firefighting equipment used every day to help save lives, and there was fun for the whole family!

Great Lakes Radio’s own Joe Duckworth was there live to catch all the action and bring the excitement to you live across our entire network of stations! He got a chance to speak with some children and parents who were very excited to be able to get up close to the awesome technology on display.

It all started at 11am and went until 12:30pm, which is when the firetrucks held a parade around town to display their equipment for all to see! Besides the trucks and parade, there were prizes for the kids, food, games, pictures, and tons more family-friendly activity!

Check out the live audio and pictures from the event below!
