Tonight the Ishpeming Hematite Girls got a good start to the last two weeks before the playoffs as they beat the L’anse Purple Hornets 40-39.
The Hematites were able to hold a good lead throughout the first half and lead by ten points 22-12. The Purple Hornets started to come back though and lost on a last second shot that went in and out and the Hematites came away with the victory 40-39.
Ishpeming Hematite Girls basketball continues when they play the Escanaba Eskimos on Thursday, February 14th in Ishpeming. Pregame will be 7:30PM and tip off will be at 7:45PM right here on WRUP 98.3FM.
