The Ishpeming Hematite Boys had cross town rivals Negaunee Miners come to town tonight and had a great first half but the second half the Miners were able to pull away and win the 64-44.
The Hematites and the Miners stayed close in the first half with the Miners holding a one point lead of 13-12 at the end of the first quarter and only a six point lead at half 27-21.
It was the second half though where the Miners were able to really pull away. Outscoring Ishpeming 14 to 6 in the third quarter the Miners were able to double the lead and Ishpeming just couldn’t find a way back into the game.
Ishpeming Hematite Boys basketball continues when they play the Marquette Redmen on Tuesday, February 12th in Marquette. Pregame will be 7:15PM and tip off will be at 7:30PM right here on WRUP 98.3FM.
