The Ishpeming Hematites went to Negaunee tonight in a match up with the Negaunee Miners tonight where they dropped a tough game 20-8.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Miners were the first ones to strike to get a 6-0 lead. The Hematites were able to take the lead in the third quarter with a fumble recovery taken back for a touchdown 8-6.
But it was in the fourth quarter where the Miners were able to get a lead and keep it with a 52 yard pass to go up 12-8 and then with another big play with a 70 yard run for a final score of 20-8.
The Ishpeming Hematites will be back at home hosting Newberry Indians next week with the kickoff at 7:30 PM and pregame at 7PM with Mike Plourde and Bob Nadeau right here on 98.3 WRUP We Rock The UP.
