The Ishpeming Hematites improved to 4-0 on the season tonight when they went to Westwood to take on cross town rival Westwood Patriots for the win 38-8.
The Hematites started the scoring with 6:05 left in the first quarter finding the end-zone on a 33 yard pass to go up 8-0. In the second quarter were able to add another score with a 94 yard drive over 12 plays to go up 16-0.
In the third quarter the Patriots sprung to life recovering a fumble and taking it to the end-zone to cut Ishpeming’s lead in half 16-8. But this was short lived as less than four minutes later the Hematites responded with two scores in under two minutes to go up 32-8.
The Ishpeming Hematites will be back at home hosting the Norway Knights next week with the kickoff at 7:30 PM and pregame at 7PM with Mike Plourde and Bob Nadeau right here on 98.3 WRUP We Rock The UP.
