Baraga, MI – March 13, 2024 – The Ishpeming Hematites girls basketball team raced past Ewen-Trout Creek 70-42 on Wednesday evening to win the regional title in the same gym where they won the district the previous week. With the win, Ishpeming earns a berth in the state quarterfinal, where they will play St. Ignace on Tuesday. The game will likely be in Gladstone (barring a last-minute venue change) and will tip off at 7:00.
