Ishpeming Beats Fowler in Division 4 State Semifinal 75-40

Detroit, MI – 

The Ishpeming Hematites Girls Basketball team punched their ticket to the state championship game in Division 4 with a one-sided 75-40 win over the Fowler Eagles at the Breslin Center on Thursday night.  From the outset, Ishpeming controlled the game with their defensive pressure and quick transition from defense to offense.  Jenna Maki was the best player on the court by far, scoring 31 points and breaking the all-time record for career points by an Ishpeming basketball player.
 
 
The Hematites will face Kingston in the championship game on Saturday morning.  The opening tip is set for 10:00 AM, and Tyler Young and Bob Nadeau will have all the action from the Breslin Center live on 98.3 WRUP and online at wrup.com.
