Baraga, MI – March 8, 2024 – The Ishpeming Hematites girls basketball team won the District 99 championship on Friday with a 63-31 win over the Baraga Vikings. Ishpeming controlled the game from the start, and despite Baraga hanging around for a while, Ishpeming steadily built their lead on the way to a district title. The Hematites will now play on Monday against Carney-Nadeau in the regional semi-final in Kingsford at 7:00.
