Negaunee, MI – July 22, 2016 – It’s a great day for a picnic, so we were out in Gwinn, Marquette and Negaunee for the Honor Credit Union Community Picnics! We had Sunny.FM blasting music all day and radio talent Walt Lindala from the Sunny Morning Show on the mic!
Throughout the afternoon, Honor was giving away prizes as well a FREE lunch to any one who dropped by!
Anyone who came by before 4 PM for lunch could also pick up some cool Ray-Ban style free Honor Sunglasses to show off his or her Honor Credit Union pride. Our sister station Sunny.FM was on site in Negaunee running music all day to keep the event moving and everyone pumped up!
Todd Noordyk and Walt from the Sunny Morning show were around until about 1:30 PM everyone had a chance to chat with Major Discount and one of Sunny.FM’s best radio voices!
Honor also had a major announcement to make today. After a month of fundraising for the Honor Flight Program to help send veterans to Washington D.C., the community donated quite a bit, including an anonymous $2,300 donation from Houghton, with Honor Credit Union matching every penny! Everybody who donates to the Honor Flight at Honor Credit Union locations will be entered to win a $500 grill package with the drawing taking place on August 1st.
