Ishpeming, MI – Saturday, November 28th – The Ishpeming Hematites returned victorious to the Playgrounds this past Saturday after defeating the Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates in a tough game that went down to the wire! The Hematites trailed early in the game but were able to make a big comeback in the second half to take the win and bring home the MHSAA trophy and state champion title.
They were welcomed home by parade of police and fire department vehicles adorned with Christmas lights and sirens, as well as a number of happy parents and fans. Congratulations Hematites on a great season! Check out a recap of the whole game, including live game audio, here!
