Softball with Heather Seppanen on 98.3 WRUP – We Rock the U.P. The Ishpeming Hematites were against the Westwood Patriots at the Ishpeming Ball Fields.
In the bottom of the first inning, it was 5-0 with the Ishpeming Hematites in the lead. The Ishpeming Hematites were at a great start! With a score of 5-1, the Westwood Patriots are on the board on Thursday afternoon. It was a chilly afternoon at the Ishpeming Ball Fields on Thursday. Highs were in the upper 50’s and lower 60’s across the U.P.
The score read 5-2, the Ishpeming Hematites did continue their lead over the Westwood Patriots. The Hematites and the Patriots were in the bottom of the third inning.
In the bottom of the third inning, it was the Ishpeming Hematites over the Westwood Patriots 5-2. The Hematites and the Patriots had quite a few hits. Heather Seppanen said “Weather is nice, but not too warm.”
The Patriots had one out at the top of the fourth inning. The Ishpeming Hematites scored twice in the bottom of the fourth, and they had the lead over the Westwood Patriots 9-2. At the bottom of the fourth inning the Ishpeming Hematites widened their lead over the Westwood Patriots 15-2.
The Ishpeming Hematites did defeat the Westwood Patriots 17-2 on Thursday afternoon. Join Heather Seppanen again next Monday, May 20th as they take on the Negaunee Miners. Heather will have live drops between 4pm and 6pm on 98.3 WRUP – We Rock the U.P.
