The Ishpeming Girls Basketball Hematites team entered tonight’s game with a 12-2 season record looking to pick up the season sweep against the Gladstone Braves. They would do just that, running away from the Braves early in a 59-49 blowout victory. Games, as always, are streamed live online at wrup.com
The first quarter was all Hematites who would lead at the end of the quarter 23-8. There was one stoppage in the first ten minutes as the Hematites dominated on the boards, putting up twenty shots while only shooting 27%. Madigan Johns found the hot hand early, converting two three-pointers in the first five minutes of the game.
