
The Ishpeming Hematite Girls tonight played in the Regional Championship in Marquette facing the Houghton Gremlins to see who would be heading downstate. The Hematites had their hands full though with the Gremlins and dropped the game losing 65-36.

The Gremlins came out hard tonight against the Hematites as the Hematites had a hard time containing the Gremlins fast paced offense. They jumped out to a sixteen point lead at half time 31.16.
In the second half the Hematites continued to try to find an answer for the Gremlins but couldn’t as they kept adding to their lead to take the game 65-36.
The loss marks the end of the Ishpeming Hematite Girls season, which still was a great season for the girls as they won their third straight District Championship.
