Marquette– Six Hematite players and two coaches are playing in Saturday’s U.P. Football All-Star Game at Superior Dome in Marquette. The game starts at 3pm and will include the best high school football players from across the U.P. in a friendly North vs. South game.
The game is the finale of a week long event that included media day, a player skills challenge, a visit to Bay Cliff and more.

The Hematite players on the North team are #33 Marcus Antilla, #14 Ozzy Hakkarinen, #65 Joseph Nault, #21 Dominic Suardini, #55 Dan Thornton, and #74 Alec VanHorn. Ishpeming’s Head Coach Jeff Olson and Assistant Coach Scott Syrjala will be assistant coaches for the team also.
The game will broadcast on 103-FXD, as well as 92.7 WRUP for those in the Southern part of the Upper Peninsula. The game will also stream live online at wfxd.com. The action will be called by Mike Plourde, the voice of the Ishpeming Hematites on 98.3 WRUP, as well as Mike James, the voice of the Munising Mustangs on WQXO & 97.5 GTO.FM.
