12/22/13 Green Bay, Wisconsin– The Green Bay Packers were looking to improve their record to 8-6 this afternoon against the Pittsburgh Steelers at home at snowy Lambeau field.
The Green Bay Packers were without Aaron Rodgers again this week. Stepping in for Aaron Rodgers was Matt Flynn in his fourth straight game.
The Green Bay Packers scored the first points of the game with a touchdown, and with the extra point make the score 7-0 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. To end of the first quarter the Pittsburgh Steelers take advantage of their drive and tie the score 7-7.
It was almost a scoreless second quarter until the final minutes, when The Green Bay Packers scored their second touchdown of the game against the Pittsburgh Steelers to lead the game 14-7 after the extra point. The Pittsburgh Steelers scored a field goal in the final seconds to end the first half trailing the Green Bay Packers 14-10.
Early in the third quarter the Pittsburgh Steelers scored the first touchdown of the second half and lead the Green Bay Packers with a score of 17-14. In the middle of the third, the Packers caught the first turnover of the game and took advantage of it, to score a touchdown and gain the lead with a score of 21-17. The Pittsburgh Steelers answered the Green Bay Packers and scored a touchdown again to sway the score in their favor 24-21 against the Green Bay Packers. In the final minutes of the game the Pittsburgh Steelers find themselves scoring a touchdown a strengthening their lead to a 10 point advantage 31-21. This quarter ends with the Green Bay Packers trailing the Pittsburgh Steels 31-21.
Early in the fourth quarter the Green Bay Packers drive, forced them to make a field goal and tighten the Pittsburgh Steelers lead to 31-24. The Packers followed up their field goal with a touchdown shortly later in the quarter and tied the game 31-31. The Green Bay Packers lose the lead late in the fourth quarter to a Pittsburgh Steelers who score a touchdown to lead the game 38-31, and this would be the final score of the game as the Green Bay Packers fall to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Green Bay Packers record is now 7-7-1 on WRUP.
