South Republic, MI – September 11th, 2016 – It was the very first race for the 2016 UPCross Cyclocross bike racing season last Sunday, and it was a blast!
We had GREAT weather for the race, and the rain the previous day meant that it was going to be a true Belgian-style race (the best kind) with mud, puddles, and soft dirt!
I was racing on a brand new bike, a Trek Crockett 9, thanks to Fond du Lac/Oshkosh Cyclery and Fitness. The bike did beautifully, however, I didn’t quite have the legs to make it onto the podium.
Even though I finished in 9th, I had a BLAST! I’d like to thank our hosts for the day, and all the UPCross sponsors!
