Ishpeming, MI – March 29, 2018 – We partied with 384 of our closest friends and fans for tonight’s Manicure Your Lawn Giveaway Party at River Rock Lanes & Banquet Center in Ishpeming! Congratulations to our big winner, Tasha Vangundy from Harvey; she chose the lucky station envelope and now she has the keys to a brand new Cub Cadet Mower and Cart from Bergdahl’s.
As this giveaway’s main sponsor, the friendly folks from Bergdahl’s provided one of their best selling mowers for the grand prize! The Skandia-based company has nearly 100 years of combined experience selling top quality equipment. The team out at Bergdahl’s will help you choose the right equipment for your individual needs, they’ll show you how to get the most out of your purchase, service your equipment, and they even deliver!
The banquet hall doors opening at 6:30 pm this evening with Great Lakes Radio’s Dynamic Duo, Amy and Nancy, welcoming guests and handing out tickets. Once everyone was settled in, Walt Lindala and Adam Carpenter took over to deliver the official welcome and kick off the party with some door prize giveaways. The guys thanked all of our sponsors, especially Donna and Clay and the entire staff at River Rock Lanes. They do such a great job taking care of our guests! Among the door prizes we gave away were bags of BIGGBY Coffee and a $30 Gift Card from Frei Chevrolet.
103-FXD’s Eric took over at the mic to prepare everyone for one of our favorite parts of the evening – the food. Mama Russo’s catered another delicious meal for us again. They served their famous homemade salads, tasty cudighi bites, and delicious lasagna.
After we enjoyed our dinner, Walt and Adam gave away more prizes like WRUP t-shirts, Sunny.FM mugs, Edge of Reality VR Arcade – ½ Hour Station Rental certificates, some beautiful Upper Peninsula waterfall prints from Saddleback Photography, and a party basket from The Up North Lodge filled with goodies and a certificate for a free half rack of ribs dinner and a $25 gift card! When we ran out of door prizes, it was time to select our finalists for the main giveaway of the night! Walt and Adam started drawing finalist tickets. As each number was called, the ticket holder came up front and selected a station envelope with the hope winning the mower.
Drawing out the suspense, Major Discount took the mic before the seventh finalist was drawn and invited Business Manager Mike Angeli from Frei Chevrolet to unveil our brand new giveaway: a 2-year lease on a 2018 Silverado from Frei Chevrolet of Marquette! The crowd roared with excitement as Bill Tibor flipped over the sign to reveal the new giveaway prize. Check out the official contest page for more information as it becomes available.
Major Discount then asked Chuck Bergdahl to come up and pull the last finalist ticket out of the bucket. We lined all seven finalists up and Major Discount started the countdown for the finalists to tear open their envelopes. Tasha Vangundy from Harvey picked the lucky envelope and won the Grand Prize from Bergdahl’s. Tasha told the Major that she had a huge yard and her neighbor mows it for her. So this prize may become a community resource shared between neighbors to make everyone’s lawn look beautiful!
