The Salvation Army of Marquette County Lights up the Westwood Mall with the Christmas Tree Spectacular!

The Salvation Army is kicking off its first annual Christmas Tree Spectacular at the Westwood Mall November 12, 2021 at 6:00 pm. Ten community sponsors will be competing for the bragging rights of “Best Decorated Tree”. These trees will be available to view at the Westwood Mall until the conclusion of the event on December 10th. The trees will then be donated to local shelters and families in need in our effort to brighten the holidays for some of the most vulnerable in our community.

Voting can be done in person at the Westwood Mall or online at www.bidpal.net/christmastree2021. This event is in conjunction with the traditional Kettle ringing season that The Salvation Army holds each Christmas. “With the pandemic lingering, and the economic impact touching so many families, we wanted to bring together community leaders to shed light on the good work The Salvation Army is doing in our community. The Tree Spectacular will be a fun way for residents to vote for their favorite tree all while raising much needed funds for the mission of The Salvation Army.” Cari Detmers Director of Development.

A big thank you goes to our 10 tree sponsors that took up the challenge of our first ever Christmas Tree Spectacular: Swick Home Services, Thrivent Financial Marquette, Incredible Bank, Sisters Hair Salon/Start the Cycle, UPHS, Karen R Larson Interiors, Campfire Coffee, State Farm Jill Leonard, and NMU College Republicans.
