Marquette, MI  –  October 8, 2016 – Great Lakes Radio’s Joe Duckworth was live at the Marquette City Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Day Saturday morning to broadcast all the fun stuff going on!

It was a day for the kids at Harlow Park in Marquette, as they were able to see more than $10 million worth of fire fighting equipment, get their faces painted, and a whole bunch of other fun activities!

Smoky the Bear and Sparky the Fire Dog were also there to hang out with the kids and help teach them about fire safety. Ambitious youngsters even got to climb in and around the fire equipment!

They even had lots to do for adults! The city fire department provided bonds, and they were on hand to test and distribute fire and smoke detectors. It all ended with a roll-out of the fire equipment that the kids loved!
