Marquette, MI – June 30, 2016 – The Great Lakes Radio crew had a fun time this evening at Red Rock Lanes & Banquet Center for our Storage Building of Your Dreams Giveaway! We met a bunch of new fans and gave away our highest value grand prize yet! Teaming up with Premium Pole Buildings & Storage Sheds and Griffin Construction we gave away a 24′ x 24′ x 9′ Pole Building worth $16,000! Congratulations to lucky winner, David Brodin!
As the evening set in, the parking lot filled up fast and there was a line leading out of the building! The lovely DeeDee was at the registration table to greet everyone on their way in. The ladies at the front table kept the line moving and got all the guest inside in no time! All guests received a meal ticket for catering from Mama Russo’s and the invite holders got a door prize & finalist ticket too.
Once everyone was settled in, Adam from the Outdoor Show took over as Emcee for the night. Adam started by welcoming everyone to the giveaway and bumped out the crowd for the beginning of a great night. After introducing our giveaway supporters, it was time for door prizes. We had prizes going all over the room while drawing random numbers out of a bucket! Door prizes is one of my favorite times at our giveaways because everyone is always excited to get free things, and we always have so many prizes to give! Door prizes this time included Car Car Club memberships from Southside Automotive, a jacket from Embroidery House, and more.
After giving out some of the prizes, it was time for one of the highlights of the night, food! DeeDee did the
honors and released tables for dinner. Mama Russo’s catered another one of our events, serving Yooper Beer Brats and their famous homemade salads! Everyone had food piled onto their plates and smiles on their faces as they moved back to their tables to chow down. After giving out the last of the door prizes Honor Credit Union followed with their giveaway of the night with Suzette winning a gift basket.
After dinner, it was time for a classic game of cornhole! Each guest who received an invite got a chance to toss a bean bag for a chance to win a free game of bowling from Red Rock Lanes. If they made the first toss, they got a second chance to also win a free pizza! People had a blast trying to get the bag in the hole and we saw some pretty impressive throws.
With our game finished it was time for what everyone had been waiting for, the drawing of our finalists. James picked six tickets out of the bucket for Todd to call to the front. Each finalist walked up to the front to gingerly pick their station envelope. Each envelope had a sheet with some major prize, but only one had the grand prize inside! At the same everyone opened their envelopes and the entire room was quite for the first time all night!
David Brodin opened the envelope to find out he was the winner of the $16,000 Storage Building of Your Dreams! David’s excitement filled the entire room as he held up his sheet of paper to show the room. The other finalist received their prizes with a Blower from Four Seasons going to Mike Jarvis. A Stihl String Trimmer from Ward’s was won by Keith LeFebvre. Kay Ryan received a gift basket from Super One Foods with Ashley Perry winning the second basket from Super One. Cody Isabel went home with a Clean Car Package from LaFayette Collision Center.
