It was senior night tonight as the Ishpeming Hematite Boys had the early game tonight in a double header as the Hematites hosted the Munising Mustangs.
The Hematites jumped out to a big lead in the first half, leading by fifteen points 33-18. It was from there that the Mustangs started to work themselves back into the game. They were able to close the lead in the fourth quarter and tie the game at 48 to send it to overtime.
In overtime the free throw woes of the Hematites continued and the Mustangs were able to find the lead and hold onto it for the win 53-50.
Ishpeming Hematite Boys basketball continues when they play the Westwood Patriots on Monday, February 25th in Westwood. Pre-game will be at 7:15 PM and tip-off will be at 7:45 PM right here on WRUP 98.3FM.
