Tonight the Ishpeming Hematite girls were able to get their elusive first win of the season against the Westwood Patriots.
The Hematites came out tonight with a spring in their step but the Patriots were staying in step with them as Ishpeming held a one point lead after the first quarter. By half the Hematites were able to add to that lead for a score of 27-23.
After going back and forth in the second half the Hematites were able to get a lead towards the end of the fourth quarter and keep it for the win 53-46.
Next game up is for Ishpeming boys taking on the Gwinn Modeltowners on Wednesday, December 14th in Gwinn. Pregame will be 7:00PM and tip off will be at 7:30PM right here on WRUP 98.3FM.
