Marquette, MI – July 22, 2017 – The Tadych’s Econo Foods parking lot was packed with cars for today’s Kids Day and Two-Day Meat Sale. Live between 11am – 1pm, Major Discount was on site to tell you about the amazing savings and the fun going on outside. With price cuts on Econo’s fresh cuts in the meat department, shoppers can enjoy discounts like whole boneless pork loin for just $1.79 per lb. The Major caught up with Zack the Store Manager at Tadych’s Econo Foods to chat about the great deals inside the store and all the action for the kids outside today.
People flooded the lot to check out the hot deals on the fresh meats inside and have a little fun outside. The Tadych’s BBQ Shack was hopping as people lined up to taste some of the meats for sale inside. With free lunch for everyone, the BBQ Shack was making hot dogs and sliders with chips and available soda on the side. Next to the Shack, The DeVooght Family farm set up a petting zoo for everyone to enjoy! The interactive display included pigs, cows, and bunnies all ready for some love and attention.
Tadych’s went all out for Kids Day bringing in police cars, fire trucks, and large inflatables. Screaming with excitement, the bounce house and giant slide were clear hits while other kids took tours of the fire engines. Members of the NMU Men’s Basketball Team also joined the party setting up nets to shoot some hops with the kids.
My personal favorite part was the watermelon eating contest! Every summer my sister and I would have watermelon eating contests and spit the sides off of the deck at our house. At Econo Foods kids sat at a table with piles of fresh cut fruit in front of them devouring piece after piece until only one was left!The chance to bring your kid down to participate in the games, prizes, and activities continues until 3pm today with the meat sale running until Midnight. Stop by Tadych’s Econo Foods for “fresh savings” and a little summer fun!
