Negaunee, MI – June 16, 2017 – Today Morning Sports Driving show host Ryan Ranguette joined the Marquette County Youth Football Program at Super One Foods of Negaunee for a cook out and fundraiser.
The cook out ran from 11a – 3p today with all of the proceeds going to the Marquette County Youth Football Program. Lunch included visitors choice of a hot dog, brat, or burger with chips and a drink for just $3.00. Some of the kids from the program were out at the fundraiser to help out with the cook out and enjoy the awesome weather.
We heard from Kristine Demboski, League Secretary, as she spoke to Ryan live on Sunny.FM. Kristine mentioned how they like to start the kids at a young age so they grow up with something they care about and really learn the fundamentals of football. Ryan also talked with Marquette County Youth Football Vice President Charlene Mullen about the program’s history. Ryan also got to talk with 13 year old Ashton Demboski who plays for the UP Rehab. Ashton has been playing for four years and absolutely loves the sport.
The Marquette County Youth Football program is always looking for new members. If you know someone interested in joining the league, learn more about how to register here. Looking to support the Marquette County Youth Football Program? Their next fundraiser will be a Car Wash fundraiser at Classic Collision in Marquette on July 8th.
Ryan was also joined by Lisa from the Negaunee Irontown Association who informed listeners on the Firecracker Card Fundraiser to support the Negaunee
Pioneer Days.
Before wrapping up for the day Ryan finally got to chat with one of the people who made this app possible, store manager Kevin Champion. Kevin and Ryan chatted about some of the great deals you can find in the store for Father’s Day. Kevin also mentioned how pleased he was to be helping support such a great cause like the Marquette County Youth Football Program.
With perfect weather, the day ended up being a great success for the Marquette County Youth Football Program. Stay with WFXD.COM for what is coming up next in the community!
