Marquette, MI – October 23, 2014 – With Halloween right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to talk about the things that terrify us. For about ten percent of the population, who have one or more specific phobias, their fears are real enough to produce anxiety attacks.

According to the Times Health Guide, a phobia is a persistent and irrational fear of a particular type of object, animal, activity, or a situation that poses little to no actual danger. Fear of heights, enclosed spaces, the dark, snakes and spiders are some of the most common phobias.
I happen to have arachnophobia. The weird thing is, I’m mostly okay looking at pictures of spiders. It’s when I see spiders in person that I just can’t deal. I actually injured myself in the process of backpedaling away from a spider.
Since I’m cool with looking at pictures of spiders, I thought I’d share a little gallery of ick with you. You’re welcome.
