The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings Tie on Marquette’s Home for Classic Rock

Jordy Nelson Touchdown!

It was a chilly 19 degrees at Lambeau Field when the Green Bay Packers battled their border neighbors, the Minnesota Vikings, on November 23th. From playing a home game to winning the coin toss, all factors were in the Packers’ favor. The first quarter went along with this theme as the Packers scored the first touchdown and pulled into the lead. The second quarter also looked promising until the Vikings made a strong comeback in the last two minutes.

Empowered by their new found success, the Vikings pulled ahead into a comfortable lead of 20-7 (Vikings) in the third quarter and through the beginning of the fourth quarter. The game looked grim for the Packers. Then, in a miraculous comeback the Packers tied the game with 46 seconds left on the clock forcing the Vikings into overtime!

The Packers took the lead in overtime by scoring a field goal, but were unable to counter Minnesota’s offense as they again brought the game to a tie. The Packers began to work the ball down the field, but time ran out. Overtime ended with a tied score: 26-26.

This makes Thanksgiving’s game between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions especially interesting! Tune in at 12:30pm (ET) to 98.3 WRUP!
