Ishpeming, MI – The undefeated defending division-7 state champion Ishpeming Hematies not only have a long title, but have all but won the MPC for the first time since 2009. The Hematite offense proved too much for the Miners last Friday night, as Ishpeming grounded and pounded the ball over & over en route to a 28-24 victory. The Hematites will now travel to 3-4 Newberry hoping to continue their winning ways. If Ishpeming can pull off the win in Newberry tonight, it will be their second consecutive eight-win regular season.
