The Ishpeming Hematite Boys tonight finished up their week on the road and their regular season going to Norway to take on the Knights. The Hematites ended the season on a down note though losing 56-50.
The Hematites were able to stay even with the Knights in the first quarter even though the Knights had a red hot hand shooting above 70 percent in the first quarter. The Knights hot hand continued though through out the game as the Hematites fell behind by seven by halftime 28-21.
In the second half the Hematites continued to give a full effort but couldn’t overcome the great shooting by the Knights. The Hematites were able to pull within four points in the fourth quarter but just couldn’t get over the hump and dropped the game 56-50.
Ishpeming Hematite Boys basketball continues when they start the Districts a with the Gwinn Modeltowners on Wednesday, March 6th in Gwinn. Pre-game will be at 5:30 PM and tip-off will be at 6 PM right here on WRUP 98.3FM.
