For the last road game of the week the Ishpeming Hematite Girls went to Gladstone tonight to take on the Braves. The Hematites were able to turn on the defense as the game went on to win the game 48-44.
The game was closely contested all game as the lead traded between teams as the Braves held a slim margin at halftime 26-24. As the second half went on though the Hematite defense slowly clamped down more on the Braves and they were able to take the lead in the fourth quarter and keep it for the win 48-44.
Ishpeming Hematite Girls basketball continues when they play the Norway Nights on Thursday, February 7th in Ishpeming. Pregame will be 7:30PM and tip off will be at 7:45PM right here on WRUP 98.3FM.
