Marquette’s Fourth of July was HOT HOT HOT!

Written by on July 4, 2016

Marquette, MIJuly 4, 2016 — The Fourth of July parade in Marquette was very exciting this year. The floats were patriotic and bright while all of the trucks had their own unique sound to show off! This year,, 103FXD and WRUP were well represented for Great Lakes Radio. Todd Noordyk, our leader here at Great Lakes Radio Inc., was heading up our vehicles with Adam Carpenter from the Outdoor Show on 103 FXD. Adam was driving a camouflage Kawasaki Mule from Zambon’s in Marquette with  Miss Pre-Teen Great Lakes State and Miss Pre-Teen Upper Midwest on the boat in tow behind while passing out candy with smiles and waves.

Eric Tasson was driving the 103 FXD truck with Lane Dawson from the Country Scoop as his co-pilot.

Premium Pole Buildings and Storage Sheds was behind Eric and Lane hauling our newest giveaway prize, the Steamin’ Summer Sauna. Bill Tibor was following them in the WRUP van with Mike and Walt from the Sunny Morning Show saving the day and completing our line-up in the van with their flashing lights.

There was a very patriotic showing of floats and groups on this hot and beautiful Independence Day. The Let Freedom Rock float from the Children’s Museum was especially entertaining. The Roller Derby Squads also put on a great show with their mock derby during the parade!

It’s a fantastic day for celebrating the day The United States of America gained its independence. Let us know how you celebrated your holiday or any of your favorite attractions from the parade!
