Gary Miller/Getty ImagesPhil Collins was in San Antonio on Thursday to officially announce that he’s donating his extensive collection of memorabilia relating to the Alamo to the state of Texas.
The 63-year-old rock star joined Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson outside of the historic building — the site of a pivotal 1836 battle during the Texas Revolution — to make the big announcement.

Photo: Ross HalfinJeff Beck is undergoing some medical treatment for a back ailment that has forced him to cancel a European tour leg, which was supposed to have kicked off Friday, June 27, in Austria.
A statement from the guitar legend’s rep explains, “After touring and performing nearly non-stop since late last year, Jeff sought medical advice for a severe back condition and will now undertake a short hospital procedure. He has been medically advised to take a six-week break.”
