Grupo 13/LatinContent/Getty ImagesJames Hetfield can growl dark, dangerous lyrics with the best of them — that might be one of the reasons why the Metallica singer was chosen to narrate The Hunt, a new History Channel series about hunting Kodiak brown bears.

In a statement, the network describes hunting the brown bear on the Alaskan island of Kodiak as “one of the most dangerous pursuits known to man.” Kodiak hunts generally last 10 days, during which the hunters are totally wilderness-bound with only the supplies they can carry with them. Weather changes can …read more

ABC News RadioThe Town of Oyster Bay may soon be in a Billy Joel state of mind.

There are two identical bills floating around in the New York state legislature that seek to rename a stretch of state route 107, located in Oyster Bay, to “Billy Joel Boulevard.” The bills are sponsored by a pair of politicians from Long Island.

Billy, of course, lives on Long Island and has strong ties to the area.

It remains to be seen whether the bills pass.
