Oli PowellRobert Plant may be lukewarm to the idea of reuniting with Led Zeppelin, but that doesn’t he’s stopped creating new music.
The 65-year old singer will release a new album on September 9, according to Rollingstone.com.
The new record, his first since 2010’s Band of Joy, was recorded at Peter Gabriel’s Real World studios with member of his current band The Sensational Space Shifters. That band which includes several musicians who appeared on Plant’s 2005 LP Mighty ReArranger as well as Gambian musician Juldeh Camara who plays the single string instrument the ritti.

Jo McCaughey/Danny ClinchJack White is looking to set another record for the fastest song ever recorded when he guests — and jams — with legend Neil Young on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tonight.
Host Jimmy Fallon shared the news on Twitter that the duo will record a song directly to vinyl, which will be pressed and ready to go by the end of the evening’s broadcast.

In a new interview with Guitar World magazine, Kirk Hammett says the band has set their sights on September as the time they will begin the next chunk of work toward the follow-up to 2008’s Death Magnetic.
