In a press release, Fender co-chairman Bill McGlashen says, “By adding The Edge and Bono to the board…we are taking an important step toward building a company that is able to meet its potential as a business and a brand.”

Bruce and the Stones performed “Tumbling Dice” together. Billboard notes that the Boss also had joined the Rolling Stones onstage for “Tumbling Dice” in 2012 during one of their 50th anniversary dates that year.

The European leg of the Rolling Stones’ current 14 On Fire Tour runs through a July 3 appearance at Denmark’s Roskilde Festival.

The collection contains 89 original drawings, poems and prose the late Beatle did for his books, In His Own Write and A Spaniard in the Works, which were published during the height of Beatlemania in the mid-1960s.

When we last checked in at the end of March, the 1991 album had moved approximately 15,971,000 units. According to Billboard, Metallica was selling 2,000-3,000 copies of The Black Album per week at that time, and should therefore have hit the 16 million mark sometime in June or July.

Sweet 16 is here a little early.
