Metallica’s next album will arrive “a lot sooner than the previous two did,” says Robert Trujillo

ABC/Randy HolmesWhen Metallica’s latest album, 2016’s Hardwired…to Self-Destruct, finally arrived, it had been eight years since the metal legends released its predecessor, 2008’s Death Magnetic. And before that, they hadn’t released a new album since 2003’s St. Anger. Luckily, the next Metallica album won’t take that long, if bassist Robert Trujillo is to be believed.
