John Mellencamp receiving humanitarian award for his work with Farm Aid

The singer/songwriter will be recognized for his work helping U.S. family farmers as a co-founder of Farm Aid.

The Harry Chapin Humanitarian Award is given to artists who’ve shown a commitment to supporting social justice and who’ve made significant contributions to fighting global hunger.
