Jimi Hendrix staircase stepping into Detroit Institute of Arts museum in January

The Detroit Institute of Arts museum has purchased a work of art from a London gallery created by Cornelia Parker in 2016 called “There must be some kind of way outta here,” artnet.com reports. The installation is made up of segments of a staircase that was salvaged from a London apartment where Hendrix lived in 1968 and 1969.
