Do the New York Jets Have Cushy Tushies?

New York, NY  –  October 7, 2015  –  The NY Jets recently traveled to London to play the Miami Dolphins in Wembley Stadium. According to team officials, they brought their own toilet paper to London – 350 rolls of it.

So, why did the team need to bring their own toilet paper? Apparently British toilet paper is much thinner than the American version.

Does that mean our big, bad American football players need a bit more cushy for their tushies? Not quite. According to team officials, it had more with trying to minimize stress on the players after traveling across five time zones.

“Some may say that’s a little over the top or whatnot, but it didn’t really cost that much, so why not?” the Jets’ senior manager of team operations, Aaron Degerness told the New York Times. “We’re basically trying to replicate everything that we’re doing here over there.”

I guess the schedule for the teams is pretty stressful. If I had to travel across five time zones, I would probably want some small comforts from home with me to make my life just a little easier. I guess you don’t think about the comfort of your toilet paper until you don’t have it.
