Montana Mountain Named After Paul McCartney for a Day in Honor of His Missoula Concert

Todd Goodrich/University of MontanaTo celebrate Paul McCartney‘s concert this past Tuesday at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula, Montana, the city and the University of Montana bestowed a big honor on the rock legend, and we mean big! Mount Sentinel, the mountain that overlooks Missoula and features a giant letter M made out of concrete on its side, was renamed Mount McCartney for a day, from Tuesday to Wednesday morning.

McCartney’s show, which drew more than 25,000 fans to the stadium, was the largest concert in the history of Montana, according to the university. …read more
