Mission: Kill Bill …Bill is Still Alive
Sorry Uma, being social won out over sitting down and watching movies this weekend. Between homework for work, personal projects, and internet dragons (though a whole lot less on the internet dragon front than I wanted) I ran out of time. Spending a couple hours on Saturday night with friends playing a fun little game called “Boss Monster” was an interesting experience. If you ever played the old 8-bit games from Nintendo and miss them dearly, I suggest picking this one up.
The object is simple: You and your friends play old school “bosses” and build dungeons to lure and brutally murder heroes who are on their way to brutally murder you. Obviously, being brutally murdered would sort of ruin your day. Kill ten of the the heroes before they kill you and you win the game. There are all sorts of cards in the game designed to make you cackle while you screw over your fell “bosses.” I managed to win both rounds. I guess that makes me King Koopa.
I also learned that there is such a thing as a Buffy the Vampire Slayer board game. It put three against one: one person controls the monster, everyone else controls one of the good guys. I had two good guys under my control – and I may or may not have (I totally did) gotten the killing blow on the bad guy in that game too.
So, at least for another week, Bill’s off the hook. We’ll see about next week.
