Ex-Journey Singer Steve Perry Gives First Public Performance in Nearly 20 Years

JOE KLAMAR/AFP/Getty ImagesFans who attended a concert by the modern-rock act Eels on Sunday at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota, were treated to a quite a surprise — ex-Journey frontman Steve Perry hit the stage to perform a few songs with the group. Perry, who reportedly hadn’t sung live publically since 1995, joined the Eels for a rendition of their song “It’s a Motherf**ker” before launching into versions of the Journey classics “Open Arms” and “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’.”
