5/23/2013 Ishpeming, Michigan — The Ishpeming Hematite Fast Pitch Softball Team was against the Manistique Emeralds on Thursday afternoon on 98.3 WRUP – We Rock the U.P. Mike Plourde brought you all the action from the Ishpeming ball fields on a chilly Thursday afternoon.

At the bottom of the second inning, the Manistique Emeralds lead the Ishpeming Hematites 5-2.

At the top of the third inning the score still reads 5-2 with the Manistique Emeralds in the lead. Then, the Manistique Emeralds score another pitch and up their lead 6-2 over the Ishpeming Hematites.

Ishpeming was batting in the bottom of the fourth inning. It was 2 outs with a runner on third for the Ishpeming Hematites.

At the top of the sixth inning, the Manistique Emeralds lead the Ishpeming Hematites 14-4. The score then reads 18-4 with the Emeralds in the lead.

At the bottom of the sixth inning the Emeralds lead the Hematites 25-4.

5/22/2013 Ishpeming, Michigan — The Ishpeming Hematites Fast Pitch Softball Team were up against the Gwinn Modeltowners on Wednesday afternoon on 98.3 WRUP – We Rock the U.P. Mike Plourde had all the action from the Ishpeming Ball Fields.

At the top of the second inning, the Ishpeming Hematites lead the Gwinn Modeltowners 5-0. Mike Plourde continued to bring you all the Ishpeming Fast Pitch Softball action on 98.3 WRUP.

After two innings, both the Ishpeming Hematites and Gwinn Modeltowners were tied 5-5 in Ishpeming. Mike Plourde said “The game might be called weather permitting” Mike went on to say “We’ll let you know if they decide to call the game on this rainy Wednesday afternoon.”

The game was called around 3:40pm due to the inclement weather in Ishpeming. The game is rescheduled for this Friday, May 24th at 4:30pm at the Ishpeming Ball Fields.

Join Mike Plourde again on Thursday, May 23rd around 4:20pm as the Ishpeming Fast Pitch Softball Team takes on the Manistique Emeralds in Ishpeming. We’ll have live drops between 4pm and 6pm on 98.3 WRUP – We Rock the U.P.

5/21/2013 Ishpeming, Michigan — Heather Seppenan was in Ishpeming on Tuesday afternoon bringing you Ishpeming Hematites Fast Pitch Softball on 98.3 WRUP – We Rock the U.P. The Ishpeming Hematites were up against the Negaunee Miners at the Ishpeming ball fields.

At the bottom of the second inning the Ishpeming Hematites and Negaunee Miners were tied with no score. In the second inning, the Negaunee Miners scored and lead the Ishpeming Hematites 4-0. At the top of the third inning, the Negaunee Miners did widen their lead 7-0 over the Ishpeming Hematites.

At the bottom of the third inning, the score remains 7-0 with the Negaunee Miners in the lead.

Heather said “It’s a little chilly and muddy, but the Ishpeming Hematites and Negaunee Miners continue their game at the Ishpeming fields.”

Ishpeming then scored their first run, and the Negaunee Miners continued to lead 7-1.

At the top of the sixth inning, the Negaunee Miners lead the Ishpeming Hematites 7-5. After the sixth inning, the Negaunee Miners lead the Ishpeming Hematites 10-5.

This morning on the re-broadcast of  In The Right Mind was a sound off Saturday with updates on various topics and even some issues in the national realm.

This morning was more of a open discussion of topics.  Topics being covered locally were the surplus in the state of Michigan and what is going to happen with that money.  Also the wolf hunt and some letter to the editors on that issue as well.  With it being the summer again that mean the issue about jogging and Presque Isle is back again as well.  In the Great Lakes the levels of Lake Huron have risen dramatically in the past month!  Lion’s Field was given an update too.

Into the national area this morning the issue of Iraq and the Benghazi scandel were discuss as were the IRS targeting conservative groups for tax statuses.

As a primer for next week, the issue of the runway being shorten at KI Sawyer was introduced.  This topic is looking to be the topic for next week’s show so stay tuned!

The Ishpeming Hematites and the Westwood Patriots on the Field on Thursday, May 16th, 2013 on 98.3 WRUP – We Rock the U.P.

Softball with Heather Seppanen on 98.3 WRUP – We Rock the U.P. The Ishpeming Hematites were against the Westwood Patriots at the Ishpeming Ball Fields.

In the bottom of the first inning, it was 5-0 with the Ishpeming Hematites in the lead. The Ishpeming Hematites were at a great start! With a score of 5-1, the Westwood Patriots are on the board on Thursday afternoon. It was a chilly afternoon at the Ishpeming Ball Fields on Thursday. Highs were in the upper 50′s and lower 60′s across the U.P.

The score read 5-2, the Ishpeming Hematites did continue their lead over the Westwood Patriots.  The Hematites and the Patriots were in the bottom of the third inning.

In the bottom of the third inning, it was the Ishpeming Hematites over the Westwood Patriots 5-2. The Hematites and the Patriots had quite a few hits. Heather Seppanen said “Weather is nice, but not too warm.”

The Ishpeming Hematites and the Westwood Patriots on the Field on Thursday, May 16th, 2013 on 98.3 WRUP – We Rock the U.P.

The Patriots had one out at the top of the fourth inning. The Ishpeming Hematites scored twice in the bottom of the fourth, and they had the lead over the Westwood Patriots 9-2. At the bottom of the fourth inning the Ishpeming Hematites widened their lead over the Westwood Patriots 15-2.

The Ishpeming Hematites did defeat the Westwood Patriots 17-2 on Thursday afternoon. Join Heather Seppanen again next Monday, May 20th as they take on the Negaunee Miners. Heather will  have live drops between 4pm and 6pm on 98.3 WRUP – We Rock the U.P.
